Big Data Innovation Summit
When: Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:30 PM
Where: Westin Copley Place, Boston, MA
What: MapR’s Vice President of Product Management Tomer Shiran will present a session titled, “One Platform for Big Data.” Until recently, a defining characteristic of Big Data platforms has been that they are highly specialized. Hadoop didn't really deal with ad hoc queries, relational engines couldn't handle scale, NoSQL and search engines couldn't handle SQL and none of the common platforms could really combine real-time and long-time analyses. Solutions are emerging, however, that allow all of these capabilities to be supported by a single platform. Join the session to understand how one such platform could provide an answer to Big Data questions.
