Matt Mills, previously MapR President and COO, is now Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. Mills is a seasoned industry veteran who brings a strong track record for leading high-growth organizations. He joined MapR after 20 years at Oracle, most recently leading the North American business while serving on the company’s executive committee.
Dan brings to MapR over 20 years of executive leadership experience in public markets, mergers and acquisitions, and multinational operations, including managing three companies through successful IPOs.
A seasoned financial veteran with public and private company experience including multinational operations, Atler most recently served as CFO for Meraki, a cloud networking and security firm acquired by Cisco. Previously as CFO, he successfully guided Ikanos and Silicon Image through their IPOs. Additionally, he served as CFO to LitePoint, acquired by Teradyne, and Wireless Access, acquired by Glenayre, and as Controller for Global Village Communication during its IPO process. He began his career Ernst & Young where he spent 10 years in senior roles and received his CPA.
David is a customer-focused brand and business builder with more than 25 years of global experience, with an emphasis on the intersection of marketing, technology, and analytics. The foundation of his experience comes from his innovative work in brand development for global brand powerhouses Coca-Coca and Procter & Gamble. Most recently, David was CMO of Ventiv Technology, where he led the re-branding of the former Aon software business unit. Prior to that role, David was the Founder of Agile Health, a provider of mobile health engagement solutions. He was also the Co-Founder and Chief Strategist of (ie), a firm that helps organizations drive behavior changes in the areas of healthcare, wellness, and sustainability. David earned an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies from Miami University in Ohio.
Ted Dunning is Chief Application Architect at MapR Technologies and committer and PMC member of the Apache Mahout, Apache ZooKeeper, and Apache Drill projects. Ted has been very active in mentoring new Apache projects and is currently serving as vice president of incubation for the Apache Software Foundation. Ted was the chief architect behind the MusicMatch (now Yahoo Music) and Veoh recommendation systems. He built fraud detection systems for ID Analytics (later purchased by LifeLock) and he has 24 patents issued to date and a dozen pending. Ted has a PhD in computing science from the University of Sheffield. When he’s not doing data science, he plays guitar and mandolin. He also bought the beer at the first Hadoop user group meeting.
Anil Gadre is the SVP of Product Management at MapR. Prior to MapR, Anil was the EVP of Product Management at Silver Spring Networks, responsible for product strategy, planning and marketing of networking and software products focused on the Smart Grid for the energy industry. Before that, Anil was with Sun Microsystems, a Fortune 200 technology leader, serving as EVP of The Application Platform Software organization and had previously been the Chief Marketing Officer leading global branding, demand creation and an extensive developer ecosystem program. At Sun Microsystems his experience covered diverse product lines ranging from networked desktop and enterprise servers systems to market leading software products such as the Solaris Operating system, Java, MySQL database and various middleware products. He has a BSEE from Stanford University, and an MM degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Dave has a proven track record of transforming business vision into tangible results. Bringing his deep engineering experience to his role of Senior Vice President, Worldwide Services Dave works with MapR’s rapidly growing customer base to develop and implement innovative services. He was previously VP of Engineering at MapR where he lead the development of MapR’s industry leading products. Dave has 30 years of successful enterprise software development experience in both small and large companies including EMC, Sun Microsystems, Sterling Software, Spectralogic, Exabyte and DEC.
Dave was educated at Brigham Young University where he earned a BS M.E. and a minor in Computer Science.
Pinaki brings proven engineering expertise and innovation along with years of experience building and managing large engineering teams who have developed world-leading technology. Joining MapR from Informatica, Pinaki served as senior vice president of engineering where he was instrumental in building Informatica into the industry leading data integration company with PowerCenter becoming the dominant and market-leading product used by over 2,400 companies. Pinaki rose through the ranks at Informatica from software engineer to most recently, senior vice president where he built and managed a large R&D team of 250 that spanned four geographies with annual revenues of $300M. Pinaki began his career at Intel and later was a senior member of the technical staff at Transarc before joining Informatica as principal software engineer.
Jack drives understanding and adoption of new applications enabled by data convergence. With over 20 years of enterprise software marketing experience, he has demonstrated success from defining new markets for small companies to increasing sales of new products for large public companies. Jack’s broad experience includes launching and establishing analytic, virtualization, and storage companies and leading marketing and business development for an early-stage cloud storage software provider. Jack has also held senior executive roles with EMC, Rainfinity (now EMC), Brio Technology, SQRIBE, and Bain and Company. Jack earned an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA in Economics with honors and distinction from Stanford University.
As VP of Worldwide Alliances for MapR, Geneva is responsible for building a world-class channels and alliances network across the globe. Geneva brings to MapR over 15 years of experience in software industry sales, alliances, and marketing. She most recently served as Director of Commercial Alliances for Oracle, where she was responsible for leading Alliance Managers and their teams in the Analytics, Security, Big Data and Digital Experience solution areas. Earlier in her career at Oracle, Geneva served as Senior Manager, Alliances, where she managed Alliance Managers and had overall responsibility for co-selling revenue targets against direct opportunities, achieving a 25% year-over-year growth. Other roles at Oracle include Client Relationship Manager - Global Customer Programs, and Strategic Account Manager. She began her career as a Sales Manager for CTA, an information technology engineering firm. Geneva holds a BA degree in Business Communications and Japanese Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
