Google and MapR host Big Data in the Cloud Workshop

MapR and Google will be conducting a workshop on best practices for Leveraging Big Data in the Cloud, taking place Tuesday, Oct 23 in New York City.

This is a great opportunity to learn how you can get the most out of your Big Data investment. Many companies today are either using or evaluating Hadoop for Big Data analytics. At the same time, they are looking at the cloud as an option to support their growing data center demands.

During the workshop we’ll talk about the possibilities a virtual data center creates, discuss Hadoop and the problems it solves. Experts from Google will discuss the benefits of the Google Compute Engine and best practices for leveraging the data center in the cloud. You will also have a chance to learn about MapR and how it works with Google Compute Engine

We will wrap up by showing Google Compute Engine and MapR in action. There will also be plenty of time for questions and networking.
