Tony Kelman is a core contributor to the Julia programming language, and Software Engineer at Julia Computing Inc. He was previously a PhD student at UC Berkeley conducting research on optimization-based control theory.
The Julia programming language was created in 2009 by Jeff Bezanson, Stefan Karpinski, and Viral B Shah. It was broadly announced in 2012 and has had a growing community of contributors and users ever since.
