Mr. Schroeder’s presentation will focus on using Hadoop as a powerful platform across a range of analytics and use cases. Additionally, the company will be showcasing its award-winning Distribution. The Conference also features breakout sessions by key MapR executives.

Drill enables users to query terabytes of data in seconds, supports a broad range of data formats, including Protocol Buffers, Avro and JSON, and leverages Hadoop and HBase™ as data sources. This session is taking place in the Regent Parlor.
On Thursday, October 25 at 9:10 a.m. ET, MapR CEO John Schroeder will deliver a keynote session titled “Hadoop: Thinking Big.” This presentation will provide insights into how the combination of scale, efficiency and analytic flexibility creates the power to expand the applications for Hadoop to transform companies as well as entire industries. This keynote is presented in the Grand Ballroom.
On Thursday, October 25 at 11:40 a.m. ET, MapR Chief Application Architect, Ted Dunning will present a talk which will describe how real-time learning can be used for advanced A/B testing as well as a variety of targeting problems from online advertising to adaptive document routing to content-based recommendations. The crux of these applications is a family of techniques called Bayesian Bandits. This session is being held in Sutton Center/Sutton South.
