Wednesday, February 27 at 9:25 am
John Schroeder’s keynote presentation, “Hadoop: Big Results,” will provide insights into how the combination of scale, efficiency and analytic flexibility creates the power to expand the applications for Hadoop to transform companies as well as entire industries.

“The excitement about Big Data is not around the data volumes or variety or velocity,” said John Schroeder, CEO and co-founder, MapR Technologies. “The excitement stems from the results: the impact on revenue, the decrease in costs and the big gains in competitive advantage that are the result of using Hadoop and HBase in mission critical applications.”

Wednesday, February 27 at 10:40 am
Chief Application Architect, Ted Dunning, will present a session titled, “Expect more from Hadoop.” As enterprises deploy Hadoop, they are faced with too many data sources and not enough integration to deal with the variety of their critical data. This session will discuss how leading companies have integrated Hadoop, NoSQL (HBase) and enterprise sources on one platform.

Wednesday, February 27 at 11:30 am
Founding Member and Committer on Apache Drill project and MapR Director of Product Management, Tomer Shiran, will present a session titled, “Introduction to Apache Drill.” The Apache Drill project is gaining tremendous interest in the industry. Apache Drill is a large-scale interactive query system to analyze large datasets with an inexpensive and flexible solution. Drill is another big data system that, like Hadoop, was inspired by a Google white paper. This session will provide an overview of Apache Drill and details on its architecture and roadmap.
