MapR Co-founders to Present at Hadoop Summit 2011

Addresses Next Generation of MapReduce Analytics Powered by Apache Hadoop

San Jose, CA – June 24, 2011 – MapR Technologies Inc. announced today that MapR’s Co-founders, CEO John Schroeder, and CTO M.C. Srivas, will be speakers at the Hadoop Summit 2011 in Santa Clara, CA.

John Schroeder’s general session address will discuss the large and growing number of commercial vendors joining the Apache Hadoop to expand adoption. He will highlight some of the key innovations around ease of use, dependability, and performance and will provide specific MapR examples of NFS support for streaming analytics, high availability, and snapshots for data protection.

M.C. Srivas will discuss the design, scale and performance of MapR's distribution for Apache Hadoop. His talk will include details about some of the MapR architectural advances including the distributed name-node; information about consistency and reliability; and specifics regarding performance improvements and benchmark results.

The 4th Annual Hadoop Summit is a one-day event geared toward learning how to build, manage and operate relevant real-world applications. Participants will discover the latest information about Big Data from some of the most influential speakers in the Hadoop space.
