Session Details How MapReduce and Hadoop Provide New Scaling Opportunities for Analyzing Data

San Jose, CA – September 21, 2011 – MapR Technologies Inc., announced today that Chief Application Architect, Ted Dunning, will be presenting the session, “Big Data Revolution: Benefit from MapReduce Without the Risk,” at the O’Reilly Strata Conference: Making Data Work in New York City.

The session will discuss how organizations are beginning to take advantage of MapReduce and Hadoop to provide new scaling opportunities, helping analyze and derive business value from large amounts of data that was often simply discarded. There are huge differences in the fundamental approaches being taken to the basic problems of how data should be accessed and analyzed.
